The fun starts at the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival

My first short film, “Manipulation” is premiering Thursday at the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival, but things have already started heating up.

First, we were at the opening brunch, then the rooftop launch party, and have taken in some great films by fellow Brooklynites.

Plus, “Manipulation” got some extra attention today thanks to an interview  posted today on the industry blog Indiewood/Hollywoodn’t.

In the picture here, I’m with Art of Brooklyn Director Jason Cusato, Program Manager Al Accettura and Director of Screening Derek Primont at the festival’s opening brunch.

The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival is running through Aug. 12 at St. Francis College at 180 Remsen St. in Brooklyn. Manipulation will be shown on Thursday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m.

Mobster Confessions’ ‘All in the Family’ on Discovery Channel

I played reputed Chicago crime boss Frank Calabrese Sr. tonight on The Discovery Channel’s “Mobster Confessions.” My goal was to convey just how brutal Calabrese was. Here’s a preview:
